![]() The graphics, while reminiscent of SNES (long development time for this title), were both highly detailed for their simplicity and perhaps the most aesthetically unique for this series and reproduced multiple times (various remakes). Not to mention his sneaky return, 2 battles and 4 forms. Orgodemir, while not my favorite Dragon Quest antagonist, was perhaps both objectively the most powerful and successful of any demon lord from the series having both defeated his greatest foe and divided the world up to his own machinations.Including the monster park and immigrant town, it has more dialog than any other dragon quest hands down. The unbridled immigrant town as well as the monster park are perhaps the two greatest side quests in dragon quest history (this side of monster arena from VIII and Pachisi from III).Maribel is particularly memorable in this respect. Its party chat function was a first for the series and offers an incredible amount of character development compared to nearly any other Dragon Quest (obviously remakes V and VI plus VIII would later benefit from it, though sadly the function was cut from IV's remake).I actually cared quite deeply at times for some of the side characters (only rivaled I believe by V and IX's plots). It's 20 world sections are diversely plotted and both engrossing as well as richly emotional story telling. While I'm not a huge fan of job skill systems (like Final Fantasy V and Dragon Quest IX) instead preferring each character to have one unique job, I feel that the Job Classes and Monster Classes of Dragon Quest VII are perhaps some of the best I've ever seen in terms of design and application among such RPGs that I have played. ![]() This began as a response to a different topic, but I adore the original VII for the ps1! Here's my top 10 personal reasons why it's great: Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest - The Adventure of Daiĭragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Tamashii no Kizuna
